HOW DO YOU USE YOURS?
Most responsible dog owners will readily brandish a poo bag (or 2 or 3) from every pocket in every pair of trousers or coat they own. Do you use them strictly for their intended purpose or have you ever used them for something different?
Here are 8 of the things I have and do use my poo bags for…..
1. The most obvious use of a poo bag is in fact to pick up your dog’s poo, although some owners do need to be reminded of this. Personally I like to use a strong (finger proof) bio-degrabale, unscented bag.
2. In the Autumn your poo bag can provide a perfect way to collect conkers and different coloured leaves to take home for art projects or to keep those spiders at bay.
3. Not just for poo, your bag can also be a great rubbish bag.
4. If you’ve got a leaky shoe/wellie boot, slip your foot into a poo bag before placing it in your shoe and your foot will keep nice and dry!
5. When it’s pouring with rain and you’re soaked to the skin, pop your mobile phone into a poo bag before putting it in your pocket; this ensures it stays dry and doesn’t get wet.
6. Poo bags make a fantastic make-shift water bowl; simply roll down the sides, place it on a flat surface and fill with water for your dog to have a drink.

7. If you’re out for a meal and can’t finish what's on your plate, pop your leftover steak into your poo bag to take home for your dog.
Growing up my Dad would do this every time we went out, I was so embarrassed…. Now I do it all the time too!
8. Last but not least; if you’re stuck and need to carry something home your poo bag can be a great shopping bag.
Last year at the school cake sale, they’d run out of food bags. Wondering how to transport our cakes home….. out came the poo bag (a clean one obviously!)
