Gundog Workshop
Hosted by Jay Hrycak of Cedarlily Gundogs
Jay is an accredited instructor and assessor with the Gundog Club and has had a passion for working with dogs in various forms for many years. She regularly runs courses and workshops and works her own dogs in the field during the shooting season.
During this workshop you will gain an understanding of basic gundog training, see live demonstrations and have the opportunity to practise some of these exercises with your own dog. The workshop will include some of the following activities:
- introducing consistent heelwork
- strenthening the stay
- introducing a stop cue
- harnessing a desire to hunt
- foundation skills of retrieving and hand delivery
- introduction to placeboards
Tea/Coffee & cake will be provided.
Our NEW Gun Dog Club begins in January 2024 - it is recommonded to complete this workshop prior to joining.
Our workshops are relaxed, informative and fun with 'ask the trainer' opportunities. A maximum of 8 dogs per workshop we ensure dogs and owners have space and time to progress.
**The recommended minimum for this workshop is 6 months

Our classes are held at our private training venue at Moat Farm in Stoke Mandeville.
