Getting to know Keri of Zookie Cartoons

10/12/2020 - Supporting Small Businesses

There are some fantastic businesses in and around Aylesbury and we want to showcase these businesses and show our support so we asked a number of local business owners a series of questions (including dog-related ones)!
We’re delighted to introduce the fifth business owner in our series… Kerry Young of Zookie Cartoons who has produced some fabulous cartoons for Potter Paws’ clients.

Custom pet caricatures and cartoon illustration.

How long have you been in business?

5 years

What was the reason you started your business?

I started Zookie Cartoons as I'd always had a love of drawing cute cartoon animals and crazy creatures. I quickly discovered that drawing provided me with a wonderful distraction from the stresses of everyday life!

One of my favourite childhood films has to be Homeward Bound. As a cartoonist though, two of my favourite canine characters are Odie (Garfield) and Gromit.

What is your favourite quote?

I don't have a favourite quote, but I do have a mug that says, 'Follow Your Dreams' on it. Those words mean a lot to me.

Doodling cartoons, walking the dogs and enjoying a big roast dinner!

Creative Thoughtful Reliable

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Any career with animals

Do you have a useful poo bag hack?

No, but I seem to have them poking out of every pocket and bag I own!
