Sam Potter (Instructor & Bereavement Counsellor)

Sam has been part of Potter Paws since the beginning, with various evolving roles.

With a background in medicine (working for the NHS for 18years) Sam combined his two passions and delivers our CPD courses for Pet Professionals and keen dog-loving families. Sam was unfortunately not allowed a dog growing up but discovered the joy a dog can bring to a family after having his first dog Leo. His love for dogs grows deeper with each 4-legged family member, however he does have a soft spot for a puppy!

You can find out more in our Getting to know Sam blog

As well as delivering our popular Canine First Aid courses teaching life saving skills he also instructs our Canine Body language course. Sam travels across the south of England delivering our courses to vets, groomers, kennels and groups, but can also deliver these virtually.

In 2023 Sam qualified as a Pet Bereavement Counsellor and is pleased to be able to offer in-person and virtual support to owners as they enter the hardest stage of sharing life with a dog.
