Summer 2023 Dog Show & Family Days Out in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire

 
Whether you're a dog lover who likes to watch dog shows or would like to enter your dog in a show, there are several fun family dog shows and dog events taking place across the three counties over the summer holidays.  Many of these shows have classes to suit dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes as well as plenty to do to keep their human friends happy.   You’ll find tombola’s, craft stalls, refreshments, lively music, agility equipment for dogs, expert advice and much more that make these days out fun the whole family will enjoy!

July Dog Shows

1.RSPCA Summer Fun Dog Show – Monday 31st July 2023            11am-4pm

Abington Park Northampton
There will 9 categories for your furry friends to strut their stuff and show the judge how paw-some they are: Fabulous Fella (adults males aged between 1yr and 8 yrs), Loveliest Lady (adult females aged between 1yr and 8yrs), Cutest Puppy (aged under 1yr), Golden Oldie (aged 8yrs plus), Best Rescue, Waggiest Tail, Coolest Trick, Junior Handler (handler aged under 18yrs), Dog the Judge would most like to take home, Best in Show (winners from all the categories). Each category costs £2 per dog. In addition to the dog show there will be a Have a Go Agility course, various stalls from local traders and scrumptious food served up by our food vendors.

August Dog Shows

2.Penniwells RDA Centre Fun Dog Show – Saturday 19th August 2023 10.30am-3.30pm

Penniwells RDA Centre, Edgwarebury Lane, Elstree, Herts, WD6 3RG
In aid of Penniwells Riding Centre for the Disabled, join them for a Fun Dog Show taking place on 19th August. You’ll find hot food and drinks, ice cream, pick n mix as well as other activities including a raffle, Tombola’s, face painting and more! General entry is a donation with all funds raised on the day will go to Penniwells.

3.Summer Fayre & Fun Dog Show 2023 – Sunday 20th August 2023 11am-4pm

Rushmere Country Park
The annual fundraising Summer Fayre and Fun Dog Show raising funds for the park with fun for all the family will take place in August.
Take your pup and family along and join in the fun and games - free admission with arts, crafts, all manner of stalls, refreshments and a whole host of fun activities for all the family out on The Meadow. No booking required - just turn up!

4.Beaconsfield country Fayre Dog Show – Monday 28th August 11am-4pm

Windsor End, Beaconsfield Old Town
This is a very popular event with around 5000 people attending and with all profits going to local charities and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. As well as holding the ever popular stretcher races for both children and adults, there’ll be craft stalls, food outlets, children’s entertainment, circus acts, bands and a dog show, promising lots of fun for all the family.  Find out more at www.facebook.com/beaconsfieldcountryfayre.

September Dogs Shows

5.Fun on the Field – Saturday 2nd September 2022 12-5pm

Bullfields Centre Park, Hertfordshire
This annual Family Fun Day with Dog Show, Live Music, Beer Tent, Food Vendor Stalls, lots of retail stalls is a free event for all the family to enjoy!

6.DogFest – Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th September 2022 9.30am-5pm

Knebworth House, Hertfordshire
With two days of thrilling action this year, why not take your dog to DogFest Hertfordshire, and treat them to a day or weekend which guarantees to get their tails wagging.  Try your paw at a variety of have-a-go activities from dog diving to agility, enter the Fun Dog Show for your chance to win Best in Show, or raise vital funds for Dogs Trust as you admire your surroundings on the Big Dog Walk.  Enjoy sensational dog displays all day in the Main Arena, get advice from a variety of animal experts, learn training tips at the Dog School, and much MUCH more! 7.Buckingham Dog Show – Sunday 10th September 11am-3pm

Bourton Park Paddock, Bourton Park, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, MK18 7AB
The annual Buckingham Dog Show is back this year to crown the best pooch in town! Registration will start from 11am and then judging will commence from 12pm. Application forms can be picked up at the registration table on the day or you can print one and fill it out before arriving. Classes include: ‘Cutest Puppy 5-12 mths’, ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Junior Handler 16yrs & Under’ with the winner of each class going through to Best in Show.  There will also a host of doggy based stalls and entertainment to browse on this fun family day out.  Find out more at www.buckingham-tc.gov.uk/event/buckingham-dog-show-2/.

8.Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre – 15th, 16th & 17th September 9am

Turvey House, Turvey, Bedfordshire, MK43 8EL
Once again, there will be a Fun Dog Show taking place over the Fayre weekend. Entries on the day are between 11am-12pm with judging starting at 12.30pm. Categories include Golden Oldie, Puppy, Pretty Bitch, Handsome dog, Best Rescue, Dog with a Disability, Small Dog, Amazing Eyes and Young Handler with Rosettes for placing 1st-6th.  As well as the Dog Show, the Steam Fayre has many great attractions for the whole family including steam engines of all sizes, action-packed arena, working demonstrations, market stalls, vintage fairground and more!  Gates open at 9am and adult tickets are priced at £20.00 with children (Under 16) getting free admission.
