Juniors

This class is designed for older puppies aged 4 - 8months (at the start of class). If your puppy is younger please look at our Pawsome Puppies class, or if older our Life Skills class.

Classes run for 6 weeks with occasional break weeks.

In our class you have the opportunity to train your dog in a friendly, structured environment whilst making new friends and helping your puppy to develop self-confidence. With a maximum of 6 dogs per class we ensure you get the right support for you.

Our sessions are relaxed, fun and informative. Our trainer will teach you how to train your dog using modern science based training techniques whilst providing support and advice on general puppy problems during our 'ask the trainer' tea break.

Our Puppy Junior class will include;
  • Social Skills - how to politely interact with other dogs and humans
  • Play Skills - understanding puppy play and how/when to intervene
  • Body language - understanding doggy language and how they communicate with other dogs and humans
  • Training - develop training skills including sit, down, come,
  • Developing a good foundation for walking on the lead and coming back when called.
  • Mental Stimulation - the importance of brain games, enrichment and tricks
  • Puppy Problems - chewing, barking, adolescence phases and how to overcome these in an effective way
Puppy Juniors is designed as a follow on from Pawsome Puppies. If your dog has not completed a beginner puppy course we would recommend a 121 session to prepare for this course.

Our Location
Our classes are held outside at our private training field at Moat Farm in Stoke Mandeville.

If our class days/times don't suit we offer a variety of other services including 121 puppy training and a Training SOS phone/skype support call

My rescue pup and I had a great time at puppy juniors. The environment is absolutely ideal for training and it was all very relaxed and calm.Tash was the trainer for most of our course, she was enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. My dog loved the constant treats and attention and she did amazingly well at the course. I would absolutely recommend Potters Paws.

Before we met Debbie and attended her Puppy Junior class, I’d have to say that Monty, our 15week old Cavoodle was a bit of a handful. But Debbie quickly put us both at our ease

Debbie is a calm and really informative trainer. The training location we attended (near the school in Stoke Mandeville) seems like it was purpose made for dog training. Quiet and with limited distractions! Debbie took our totally manic boxer in her stride and gave us many tips which have really helped to bring him under control! Debbie was fantastic. We'll definitely be back for some more lessons!

Bob and I did this as her first training course. Great fun and excellent value; covering all the basics and plenty of opportunity to socialise with other pups and humans in a safe environment and with an expert dog trainer (Debbie) on hand. Highly recommended
